A sign-up sheet as quick as writing a list.

Type what you need, share one link, and watch names land on the lines. Potlucks, volunteer shifts, conferences, carpools.

  • Free
  • No ads, ever
  • Nobody needs an account

Three steps, and the last one is waiting.

Type your list

One thing per line, the way you'd write it on paper. Add “x3” when you need more than one.

Share one link

Drop it in WhatsApp, an email or the class newsletter. The preview shows what's still open.

Watch it fill up

People pick a spot in seconds. Everyone gets a confirmation and a reminder, and you chase nobody.

“This will take ages to set up.”

Write it like a list

Type your slots the way you'd write them on paper: "Desserts x3", "Sat 9-11am: Setup x4", "Tue 3-6pm every 15 min". Dibs turns each line into a slot with a limit while you type. Rename, reorder or lock any of them after. You don't need an account to make one. We email you a link to manage it.

“People won't want to download an app or make an account.”

Nobody needs an account

The people you ask open the link from WhatsApp, a school email or the team chat, tap a slot, type their name and email, and they're done. No app, no password, no 'sign in with'. The page is small and plain, so it loads quickly on an old phone with one bar of signal.

“I'll end up with five desserts and no mains.”

Every slot has a limit

Put a number on each line and it fills up to that number and no further. When the last spot goes, the slot shows as full. If two people tap the last spot at the same moment, exactly one gets it and the other is offered the waitlist. When someone cancels, the next person on the waitlist moves up and gets an email.

“I'll spend the week chasing people.”

Reminders go out for you

Everyone who signs up gets a confirmation with a calendar file, then a reminder before the day. Reminders are on by default. Each email has a private link to swap to another slot or cancel, so plans change without anyone messaging you at 10pm.

“I need to see what's still missing.”

See the gaps at a glance

Your page shows what's filled, what's open and who's waiting, with the gaps at the top. Add or move someone by hand, message everyone or just one slot, export a CSV, or print a copy that looks like a clipboard sheet for the fridge or the hallway.

“Free usually means ads or selling my data.”

No ads. Not now, not later.

Dibs is a small independent product. There are no ads on any sheet, in any email, on any plan, and we don't sell anyone's data. Sheets carry a small 'Made with Dibs' note so others can find us. We may add a paid plan for extras one day. Confirmations, reminders and waitlists will stay free.

How it compares, honestly

Bigger tools do more, like payments and text messages. Dibs does sign-up sheets, free, with no ads on any of them.

Questions people ask

Is Dibs really free?

Yes. You can make as many sheets as you like and as many people can sign up as you need. There are no ads. We may add a paid plan for extras later, but confirmations, reminders and waitlists will stay free.

Do the people signing up need an account?

No. They give a name and an email address. The email is how they get their confirmation, their reminder and the link to change their mind.

Do I need an account to make a sheet?

No. Make the sheet, add your email, and we send you a link to manage it. Use the same email next time and your sheets stay together.

What happens when a slot is full?

It shows as full. The next person can join the waitlist for that slot. If someone cancels, the first person waiting moves up and gets an email.

Can people change or cancel their sign-up?

Yes. Every confirmation email has a private link to swap to another open slot or cancel. You see the change straight away.

Can I hide people's names?

Yes. Show full names, first name and initial, or just 'taken'. You always see the full details yourself.

Will my sheet show up on Google?

No. Sheets are hidden from search engines by default. Anyone with the link can open it, so keep private details like home addresses off the sheet and message them to people who sign up.

Can I ask people questions, like allergies or T-shirt size?

Yes. Add short questions to the whole sheet or to one slot: a short answer, a choice, a number or a checkbox.

Can more than one person organize a sheet?

Yes. Invite a co-organizer by email and they can edit the sheet and see sign-ups without sharing your link.

Can Dibs take payments or send text messages?

Not at the moment. Dibs sends email only and doesn't handle money. If you need to collect fees or text people, a tool like SignUpGenius or SignUp.com does that.

Your list is waiting.

Make a sheet in about a minute. No account, no ads, and nothing to install for the people you ask.
